This weekend I spent a fair amount of time in the kitchen with Sweet Heather Anne, my talented, cake-decorating friend. Armed with our fancy royal icing flooding technique, we had a mission to bake, decorate, and package 13 dozen Valentine's cookies to mail as gifts across the country. Hopefully, these will bring warm smiles to the faces of each recipient. Already there's been some talk of selling another batch to celebrate the arrival of spring.
